Simple & Tidy

Terms of service

Version 2026-10-13 · Updated 13 October 2026. You can save or print this page.

1. Who provides the service

Simple & Tidy is provided by Duck & Dough Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16454504. Our registered office and contact address is 37 Marlborough Road, Brynmill, Swansea, SA2 0DZ, United Kingdom. Email simplendtidy@gmail.com or telephone +44 7757 116730. We are not VAT registered.

2. Your workspace

The service helps small businesses organise customers, products, orders, quotations, services, costs, invoices, images and records. Solo provides one user with one business workspace. You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for the business. Keep your login private, enter information you have the right to use, and keep independent exports of important records. Your business records remain yours; you give us permission to process them only to provide and protect the service as explained in our privacy notice and data-processing terms.

3. Solo: trial, price and renewal

An eligible new web subscriber receives one 15-day free trial, starting when Stripe checkout is completed. A payment method is required. Unless cancelled before the displayed trial deadline, Solo then costs £9.99 per month, charged in GBP and renewed monthly until cancelled. This is the current total subscription price; we do not add VAT. Checkout shows the first payment date and price before you confirm. There is no permanent Free plan. A returning subscriber who has already used a trial pays from the start of the new subscription.

Your subscription is with Duck & Dough Ltd. Stripe processes our subscription payments. Creating a login alone does not start a paid subscription. A subscription begins only after you confirm checkout and the payment provider verifies it. Any future App Store purchase will have its store terms shown separately; these web terms do not activate an App Store subscription.

4. Cancel, renew or delete

During a trial, open Account & plan → Cancel trial · no first charge before the displayed deadline. We confirm the cancellation and your access continues to that deadline without the first subscription charge. For an ongoing paid subscription, use Account & plan → Manage web subscription to stop renewal. Access continues until the displayed end of the paid period. Check the confirmation and contact support if cancellation fails.

Ordinary cancellation does not automatically refund a billing period already started. Contact us about an incorrect charge, service problem or refund request; we assess it and honour applicable statutory rights. If you qualify as a consumer, any statutory cancellation and refund rights remain available, including the applicable 14-day cancellation right. You can exercise a legal cancellation right by clearly telling us by email; no special wording is required.

Without an active plan, editing is restricted but existing records and exports remain accessible while the account is retained. Deleting the account is different from cancelling renewal: export first, then use the password-confirmed deletion option in Account & plan. Deletion cancels web subscriptions and removes active records and files. Copies already downloaded or emailed are outside our control. Legally required billing records may be retained.

5. Invoices and your customers

You sell to and contract with your own customers. They pay your business using the bank or other payment instructions you provide. Simple & Tidy does not receive or verify those bank transfers. Check your bank before recording payment. Review the recipient, quantities, prices, taxes, dates and payment details before sending a document. Email-provider acceptance is not proof of inbox delivery. Anyone with a customer document link can view it and, where offered, respond until expiry or revocation; the link does not independently prove a person's identity.

6. Accuracy, devices and availability

Speech recognition, estimates and cost calculations depend on the input and may need correction. Currency selection does not convert exchange rates. The app does not prepare or submit tax returns or replace professional accounting advice. You remain responsible for the correctness and legal requirements of your business documents.

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill and work to correct reported faults. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Sign-in, initial setup, synchronisation, sending email and payment services require internet access. An optional encrypted offline copy supports local work on a trusted device; its passphrase cannot be recovered by us. Clearing browser data may remove drafts and local copies. Downloaded backup files are not encrypted by the export process.

7. Acceptable use and suspension

Do not impersonate another person, upload unlawful or harmful content, compromise security, or access another account. We may restrict access where necessary to address misuse, a security incident, non-payment or a legal requirement, and will explain the reason and next steps where lawful and practical. Contact support to resolve an error or arrange access to your records. Nothing in these terms limits liability or rights that the law does not allow to be limited.

8. Support, changes and disputes

Use Account & plan to record a support request or email us. Do not send passwords, secret API keys or full card details. We will communicate material changes to the subscription price or these terms before they affect you, giving you the opportunity to cancel before the change takes effect. A price change does not retrospectively change a period already paid for.

English and Welsh law governs these terms. This does not remove mandatory consumer protections or the right to bring proceedings in a court that applicable law makes available to you. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern.
